Timberstone Turnings Heritage

The 22 year long journey

Doug Royer, founder of Timberstone Turnings began woodworking in 2000, while living in Breckenridge Colorado.

22 years later, and now living in Overland Park Kansas with his lovely wife Erin, along with Ivy (dog) and Callie the cat, he spends his days making stuff, for the lack of a better description.

In 2009 Timberstone opened an ETSY shop where Doug quickly found a small, but worldwide niche market, making and selling gemstone inlaid wooden hair sticks for primarily women with long hair.

With over 7,000 hair sticks sold worldwide, Timberstone creates high quality pieces of art ranging from pens to wine bottle stoppers, along with custom made Charcuterie boards, Memorials and other “cool stuff”.

The detail is just stunning, but it's what the images don't capture well--from the shimmers to a fine line of pearl essence between the resin and the wood to the hint of glitter around the lilacs, enough to highlight but not overpower--that make this just a work of art. Seeing them online you realize how unique they are and no other artisan can offer anything even close to these.
